The Beautiful Cover Up
The snow continues to make its repeat appearance here in Michigan. I believe it
makes a beautiful picture. Just leave me out of the picture. The other thing I
notice about snow is that it makes a beautiful cover up. The leaves that
didn't get raked are suddenly gone. The litter by the side of the road has
vanished. The lawn doesn't need mowed anymore. It is gone (for awhile). And
even though the cover up is beautiful it is deceptive. Because when spring
arrives and the thaw finally comes to stay, what has been covered up is then
exposed. When you want to hide something, just remember, when the cover up
melts, what you hid is still there.
