Yes And Where Did The Good Old Days Go?

Each generation talks about the good old days, but no one seem to know where they have gone. We hope and plan for things to get better and wonder why they don't. Maybe it's time to quit dreaming about a better life and a better world. Maybe it's time to quit complaining about how things are. Maybe it's time to become a life participant and do something about it. It's OK to dream. But eventually we have to wake up and live.
And in that living, the world would become a better, happier place if there was less selfishness. People have become so concerned about living their life the way they want to they fail to see the effect it has on their children and their grandchildren. Family does not cease because someone had a birthday and became an adult. Grandparents are still parents and the children are grand. Buying things and giving money is never a substitute for the involvement that adult family members should have with children family members.
The good old days are still there. We fail to take advantage of them when we forget our Maker, our faith, our families, and our values. Life is what you make it. And you make it by how you live.
